30 degrees on the Events Lawn for the Plant & Produce Fair...
On a September Sunday we had to find every inch of welcome shade for stall-holders and visitors braving the sun. Despite a very low turnout, no doubt due to the extreme heat, the day was successful and enjoyable with interesting people, fabulous products and a vibrant sense of community. We learned to make ferments and pickles, shopped for baskets and lushious veg, ordered hand-dyed, hand-knitted woollen hats for winter (really!) and ate far too much cake.
