Earl Soham Neighbourhood Plan:

Following the initial survey a few years ago, it became apparent that a Housing Policy should be the main focus of our Neighbourhood Plan, with some urgency due to ongoing changes to Planning Policies.

Central Government requires an allocation of a number of new houses in  Earl Soham by 2036, and the purpose of an officially registered Neighbourhood Plan is to allow residents to determine their local housing needs whilst ensuring the character of the village remains. Once registered, a Neighbourhood Plan holds weight with the planning authorities, becoming the rule and protection for future local planning.

This exhibition will have essential background information, an overview of current planning policy and local data to to enable residents to create informed decisions on housing options.
