A fun, relaxed day of crafting and creating with delicious things to eat, local folk to meet and lovely decorations to take home.

MORNING WORKSHOP : 10-12.30. Traditional fresh mantlepiece garland and potted Paperwhites.

During the course of the morning session we will make a 5ft garland using fresh scented winter foliage to create an elegant Christmas decoration for a mantelpiece, staircase or chimney beam. Plant beautiful Paperwhite bulbs into a terracotta pot using moss and natural sticks for a stylish take on winter bulbs, ready to enjoy the delicious fragrance to welcome in the New Year.

All materials provided.

AFTERNOON WORKSHOP: 2-4.30. Contemporary garland and Christmas table centre.

Get creative in the afternoon session making a funky contemporary wired 5ft garland using dried fruit, pinecones and nuts, among other things.. after which you will be able to make a fabulous Christmas table centrepiece with fresh greenery and candles. All materials provided.

During each workshop there will be refreshment breaks. Tea, coffee, mulled wine and homemade cakes to add to the festive flavour ! For those booking both the morning and afternoon workshops a simple but delicious lunch will be provided of home-made soup and good bread.

TUITION:

Susan Leverick will show you how to make all four items and give expert tips and skills to take home along with your Christmas creations. Learn professional floristry skills to allow you to create more decorations throughout the seasons. Susan had a floristry business at New Covent Garden market for ten years and was private florist to a member of the Qatari Royal family at Newmarket.

NOTES & PRACTICALITIES:

Free parking at the Hall.

Please bring sissors and secateurs and some gardening gloves. Also a large box or similar to transport your Christmas decorations safely home.

No discout for booking both workshops, but a lovely lunch will be provided for those booking both.

Vegetarian soup at lunch. Please inform us by email after booking if gluten-free bread is required.

Website photos are for illustration purposes; centrepiece candles provided will be tapers. Note LED fairy lights are not included but you will be shown how to add in extra decorative elements to suit different settings and occasions, and where to buy materials to start your creative floristry journey.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Cancellations up to 4 weeks before the workshop date will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made less than 4 weeks prior to the workshop date, will only be able to receive a refund if the space on the course can be filled. If that is possible, you will receive a 100% refund, minus £5 admin fee.

Workshop cancellation: if, for whatever reason, the workshop is cancelled, you will receive a 100% refund.
